CryoEM grid preparation |
CryoTEM grids are prepared for user supplied specimen. |
Inquire | |
CryoEM initial evaluation |
This service generally includes collected small to medium size datasets (up to 24 hours of data collection) on pre-made cryoTEM grids followed by standard data processing and evaluation of the sample quality and feasibility of obtaining atomic resolution structure by cryoEM (up to generation of 2D classes and, if possible, initial 3D strutural models in form of electron density). |
Inquire | |
Grid clipping |
CryoTEM grids need to be "clipped" in order to be compatible with the autoloader system of TFS-FEI electron microscopes. This service is provided when grids themselves are already prepared by the user and stored at the facility. Includes clipping supplies (C-clip/C-ring, $20 per grid when purchased from the vendor) |

Large Scale Protein Expression |
Large scale protein expression will be done once protein SEL are known. The cost of this phase will vary depending on the isotopic labeling used. |

Mass Spec | Inquire | ||
Protein purification |
Purified protein will be provided with >95% purity by SDS-PAGE and Mass Spec.

Soluble Expression Level (SEL) Test |
Expression vectors will be designed based on available literature. Soluble expression levels (SEL) in E. coli will be tested and verified using SDS-PAGE. It may also be determined, at this step, that refolding of the protein from inclusion bodies may be necessary. If purification from inclusion bodies were needed, additional studies would be necessary, which are not included in this estimate. |
